Our fully orthopaedic sports shoe range are designed to provide all of the required support, width and depth of specialist orthopaedic footwear, but in an active sports style. The sports shoes are designed to fit at the level of the ankle bones to provide extra support and stability. The sports shoes are designed with a firm heel stiffener and cushioned cuff to stabilize the heel bone and prevent excessive heel valgus/varus. They are also designed with additional ventilation for the hot Australian climate.

These sports shoes provide:

• a firm heel stiffener to stabilize the heel bone
• lightweight, rocker bottom sole made from EVA and rubber (modifiable)
• flared sole for additional medial and lateral stability
• ventilation ports along the side of the shoes
• cushioned cuff to assist with firm and comfortable fixation around the ankle
• Velcro strap for fixation
• active leather and synthetic material uppers
• active leather linings
• flat innersole with removable full length arch supporting orthotic included

These orthopaedic sports shoe may be suitable for children requiring additional support of the heel bone, such as children with: 

• low muscle tone including those with developmental delays eg Down Syndrome
• mild joint laxity, hyper-mobility, connective tissue disorders of the lower limb eg Elhers Danlos Syndrome
• mild forms of neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, cerebellar ataxia
• significant pronation or supination of the feet
