The Medica Brisbane Aqua is a specialised orthopaedic sandal designed for water-based therapy and aquatic activities. Part of the AFO Alternative collection, this model provides lower-leg and ankle stability in aquatic environments, offering more structure than ankle-height footwear yet greater comfort and flexibility than a full ankle-foot orthosis (AFO).

Developed for use in hydrotherapy, swimming, and rehabilitation, the Brisbane Aqua features water-resistant materials, an extended-height stiffener, and a secure four-strap Velcro fastening system. Its quick-drying design and anti-slip sole ensure stability, safety, and comfort during therapy sessions and play.

Fit Adjustment and Additional Pads

The Brisbane Aqua comes with one pair of Velcro pads to help achieve a more secure and comfortable fit. These pads thread onto the Velcro straps, allowing the straps to sit more snugly across the foot and reducing excess space. For children with narrower feet or to fine-tune fit across multiple straps, additional Velcro Pad Pairs are available separately and can be purchased here (additional cost applies).
